<p>Now, It&#8217;s been said and it remains a cosmic law known all over the world, in every tribe, culture and tradition.</p>

<p>&#8220;You are what you eat&#8221;</p>

<p>These days, several so called quick weight loss programs try to sell the naive, yet desperate masses seeking to lose weight on using so-called diets and supplements with the empty promises of a lasting and effective weight loss.</p>

<p>It turns my stomach every time some new pill or diet is hyped up as THE answer to losing weight when the truth is &#8220;Whatever is not built on a proper foundation will eventually crumble!&#8221;…and this is very much related to dieting to lose weight.</p>

<p>I mean when one considers the problems with most diets today, especially with world being filled with tempting foods that overwhelm our ability to &#8220;self-regulate&#8221; what we eat, it makes it harder for that person trying to lose weight</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Nonetheless, the reality is that according to Greenway, who is also a medical advisor for the Jenny Craig weight-loss program, from studies comparing dieters who don&#8217;t exercise with dieters who work out: &#8220;Diet is the most efficient way to lose weight.&#8221; However, he&#8217;s quick to add, &#8220;Exercise is essential for keeping weight off, especially as we age&#8221;.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>But, don&#8217;t sigh in resignation just yet, I have a suggestion.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t want to be obsessed with counting the calories, obsessive measurements when making meals, making sure you have eaten from ‘all the food groups&#8217; etc…</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Have you heard of the Mucus-less or Mucus-poor/alkaline diet?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>It does comprise of healthy items but one can basically eat the &#8216;right&#8217; foods as hunger dictates…on some FEW conditions.</p>

<p>The benefits are that not only does this bring about weight loss effectively, it gives the added bonus of making one&#8217;s present exercises easier to do (with increase in endurance) and rids the body (namely the colon) of excess debris and weight, thus making the whole process of a healthy weight loss more efficient and usable.</p>

<p>Furthermore, it&#8217;s not a ‘diet&#8217; per-se, it is a lifestyle as its principles-as elementary and common-sense as they truly are-do have the tendency to lend themselves to other aspects of one&#8217;s everyday life.</p>

<p>I present this suggestion with the understanding that anyone looking to work out will have some sense of wanting to eat right, albeit not necessarily obsessively.</p>

<p>Well, true as that is, the more obvious truth is that the lower abdominal muscles are the ones that are perhaps most encumbered by excess fat and pounds,</p>
<p> </p>
<p>However, that shouldn&#8217;t be a huge concern, that region can be properly targeted and you too can tone that area with these tips below.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>1. If you use the ab-wheel (hands down one of the best, yet most inexpensive exercise equipments on the market-it&#8217;s only $9.95-), go slower on the push and pull and hold the final position for 2-3 seconds looking up. You would feel a subtle yet firm tension in the lower abdominal region.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>2. The Gorilla Chin-up: it emphasizes your biceps and your abs since it&#8217;s like performing a Chin-up and a Crunch at the same time.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>You begin by simultaneously pulling yourself up with your arms, Chin-up style, and bringing your knees up toward your chest. When you reach the final position you will have finished the Chin and the Crunch at the same time.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>3. Another good exercise for working the lower abs is leg lifts. You can do these lying down on a flat bench or any other bench-like surface.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>-Lie down flat on your back on a bench</p>
<p>-Lift your legs (straight out) about 45 degrees in the air</p>
<p>-Then return them slowly to the resting position (without touching the ground)</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Now, for yours truly I do personally I include other basic calisthenics like the Hindu-Push Ups, Yoga, windmills etc. to offer a bit of variety occasionally, and I always watch what I eat with dedicated precision (albeit a non-obsessive approach…); why? Because a healthy colon is almost always reflected in a flat stomach (and-not to gross you out-odorless feces)</p>
<p> </p>
<p>So, use these tips on exercises for the lower abs to get the chiseled cuts you may have always wanted…they are right there if you reach for them.</p>
